1. Who we are

Go.Sip ("Go.Sip", "we", "us", or "our") is a curated monthly coffee-roulette platform that pairs female entrepreneurs for 30-minute conversations. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding contract between you ("Member", "you", or "your") and Go.Sip whenever you access or use our platform at gosip.app (the "Platform").

By creating an account or subscribing, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

To register for Go.Sip you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a founder, freelancer, solopreneur, or otherwise running your own business.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your profile up to date.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to decline or suspend any account that does not meet these criteria.

3. The service

Go.Sip is a "set it and forget it" networking platform. On or around the 1st of each month, our automated matching engine (the "Circle Method") pairs active Members for a 30-minute coffee chat. You receive an email introduction containing your match's name, business context, and conversation starters. Scheduling the chat is your responsibility.

We do not guarantee a match every month. Matches depend on the number of active Members in a given cycle and the Circle Method's anti-duplicate logic. If no suitable match is available in a cycle you will be notified by email and not charged for a wasted introduction.

The Platform may evolve over time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to the service and these Terms (see Section 14).

4. Subscription & billing

Plans

Go.Sip is available on a monthly plan (£4.50/month) or an annual plan (£45.00/year, equivalent to two months free). Prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. By subscribing you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.

Price changes

We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change by email. Continuing to use the service after the new price takes effect constitutes acceptance.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card details. By providing payment information you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

5. Cancellation & refunds

Monthly subscribers

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you retain access until the end of the current paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days.

Annual subscribers

You may cancel at any time. You retain access until the end of the annual period. No prorated refunds are issued for the remaining months, except where required by applicable law.

14-day cooling-off period

As a UK consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) without giving a reason. Because our service is delivered digitally and matching runs on a fixed monthly cycle, if a match has already been sent to you within that 14-day window you acknowledge that the service has begun and the right to a full refund under this clause may be reduced accordingly. To exercise this right, email hello@gosip.app with the subject line "Cancellation Request".

How to cancel

Cancel via your account dashboard or by emailing hello@gosip.app. We will confirm cancellation within 2 business days.

6. Snooze & pause

If you need a break, Go.Sip offers two options designed to respect your schedule without requiring you to cancel:

  • Snooze (one month): Skip a single matching cycle. You will not be matched that month but billing continues. Activate from your account dashboard before the 28th of the month to take effect in the following cycle.
  • Pause (indefinite): Suspend your participation indefinitely. Your profile is preserved and billing pauses. To reactivate, simply update your status in the dashboard. Pausing does not constitute cancellation and does not trigger any refund of prior charges.

7. Member obligations

Membership in Go.Sip carries a responsibility to the community. By subscribing you agree to:

  • Make a genuine effort to schedule and attend your monthly chat within the calendar month.
  • Respect the 30-minute time commitment — treat it as a professional meeting.
  • Keep conversations confidential unless explicitly agreed otherwise with your match.
  • Treat every match with professionalism, respect, and good faith, regardless of industry, background, or business stage.
  • Not use the platform to pitch, sell, or solicit business during the matched conversation without the other Member's invitation to do so.
  • Keep your profile information accurate and up to date so the matching engine can make meaningful pairings.
  • Not share or transfer your account credentials to any third party.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Engage in harassment, bullying, discrimination, or any unlawful conduct.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation.
  • Transmit spam, unsolicited marketing communications, or chain messages to other Members.
  • Attempt to circumvent or interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Platform.
  • Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our prior written consent.
  • Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law, including UK data protection law.

We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate this section without refund. Where conduct is serious, we may report it to relevant authorities.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform — including the Go.Sip name, logo, brand, copy, conversation starters, and software — is owned by or licensed to Go.Sip and protected by UK and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to your profile. By submitting it, you grant Go.Sip a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate and improve the service (e.g. powering the matching algorithm or displaying your profile to your match).

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Go.Sip makes no representations or warranties — express or implied — regarding the Platform's fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from errors.

Go.Sip facilitates introductions but does not vet, endorse, or take responsibility for the conduct, statements, or actions of any Member. Any business or personal relationship formed through Go.Sip is entirely at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Go.Sip's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Go.Sip will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including lost profits, lost data, reputational damage, or loss of opportunity, even if advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under English law.

12. Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, please email hello@gosip.app first. We will aim to acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and resolve it within 14 business days. Most issues are resolved quickly and informally.

If we cannot resolve a dispute by agreement within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in another part of the UK or EU, you may also be entitled to use alternative dispute resolution (ADR) or an online disputes platform provided by the European Commission.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Subject to Section 12, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of Go.Sip after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you should cancel your subscription before the effective date.
